I have placed my faith in Jesus Christ as the only one who could pay for my disobedience of God’s law so that God’s righteous standards would be satisfied. I have the assurance that because of this faith in what God has done, he has accepted me as his child in Christ. Because I desire to share ministry and fellowship with other believers of similar faith, I hereby apply for membership in Fairview Baptist Church. I have read, and am in agreement with the statement of faith and the constitution and bylaws of Fairview Baptist Church. As a member of this church I will be supportive by using the gifts and resources that God has given me to further the spread of his kingdom on earth; I will participate in the activities and ministries of the church as I am able; I will submit to the leaders of the church in recognition that they are charged to keep watch over me as those who must give an account to God, and to the members of the church as a whole, in recognition that the Bible instructs us to submit to one another in love. I commit to abide by constitution and bylaws of this church and, if at any time I can no longer do so, I will quietly withdraw my membership. Yes
